Auburn Bay: The Feel Of A Country Village Environment

Nestled in Deep South Calgary, south of Stoney Trail and east of Deerfoot Trail, is the community of Auburn Bay. Alluring in its open spaces and charming country architecture, Auburn Bay elevates the lakeside lifestyle among Calgary’s Deep South communities. The surrounding neighbourhoods include McKenzie Towne to the north, Seton to the south, Cranston to the west, and Mahogany to the east. The welcoming entrance, the 43-acre freshwater lake with beach and private park areas give the feel of a country village environment. Homes adorned in rich and bright colours line Auburn Bay, creating a truly unique experience for its residents.

The Heart of Cottage Country Minutes from Urban Centres

With an Auburn Bay home, residents can relish in cottage country living without losing easy access to Calgary’s bustling core. The latest expansion of the Stoney Trail Ring Road extending just beyond the borders of Auburn Bay puts the airport and north Calgary within reach. Additionally, Kananaskis and the Rockies can be accessed by Stoney Trail, offering residents even greater options for outdoor activity.

Urban amenities are near your doorstep. Seton boasts an urban commercial and shopping district just south of Auburn Bay. Both Cranston Market and High Street in McKenzie Towne are a short trip west and north, respectively. McKenzie Towne’s retail and business area along 130th Avenue is only a quick skip in the car.

A Bounty of Green Space and Fresh Water

Auburn Bay boasts swaths of green space, water features and numerous park areas, private and public. The private park is a 13-acre retreat for residents which envelops Auburn House, a 16,000 square foot lodge which functions as a community and recreation centre. Even with hundreds of homes surrounding the lake, this community dances with natural features and country style elements that help to keep the living easy and active.

Dormers, window boxes and cupolas give Auburn Bay homes their true country charm. Walking through the tree-lined streets on the way to the lake, you are filled with the smells and scenes of the country without ever having set foot outside city limits.
